SO ENDS this beautiful story of Pasteur’s chirality experiments of 1848 extending to Yang’s Nobel Prize in 1957. But the story is much more intricate than this and a full documentation of the history of chiral investigations is to be found in the reference below. Humanity has always been aesthetically interested in symmetry, and when scientists can tinker with such objects, there is undoubted joy to be had.
